The MyndClear system
MyndClear connects wearable sensing with your phone to personalise breathing and rest. Understand the signals behind a session, follow responsive guidance, and see how your physiology changes over time.
Bring together optical, cardiovascular, electrical and motion signals from your connected devices.
Turn complex measurements into clear feedback about your session and your response to guidance.
Take a breathing or rest session. Let cues respond to your rhythm, then review the experience with Myndi.
Connected hardware
Your phone brings the system together. Connected sensors contribute different perspectives, so guidance can respond to more than a single measurement.
IPHONE & ANDROID
The centre of your session. Motion and accelerometer inputs add context, while the app brings connected signals, audio cues and feedback together.
OPTICAL SENSING / fNIRS
Near-infrared light measures changes in oxygenated and deoxygenated haemoglobin. These signals reveal hemodynamic rhythms that inform responsive guidance.
CARDIOVASCULAR CONTEXT
Heart-rate, variability and related biometric inputs help put breathing and recovery sessions in context. Apple Watch extends the iPhone experience.
ELECTRICAL SENSING / EEG
EEG adds a view of electrical brain activity, complementing the optical and cardiovascular signals within the MyndClear system.
The signals available in each session depend on the devices you connect. MyndClear brings their roles together in the companion app.
Breathing & rest
Connect your sensors, choose a session and follow the cues. MyndClear adapts guidance to measured rhythms; Myndi helps explain the experience in clear, calm language.
Sound and on-screen cues guide your breathing, with pacing informed by connected physiological signals. Review your response after the session.
BREATHE SESSION
Follow your own rhythm.
The science behind the system
MyndClear draws on research into optical sensing, rhythmic stimulation and the relationship between neural, vascular and fluid dynamics. The system translates that research into personalised session guidance.
Explore the researchfNIRS tracks haemoglobin changes. EEG measures electrical activity. Cardiovascular and motion inputs add context. Each describes a different aspect of physiology.
Closed-loop guidance uses measured signals to inform when cues are delivered, rather than relying on a fixed rhythm for everyone.
A human sleep study found that phase-aligned auditory stimulation increased cerebrospinal fluid flow waves. Separate work induced sleep-like cortical activity in awake mice. These findings motivate research; they do not establish the same outcomes for MyndClear users.
The Genesis of MyndClear
Founded by Makii Muthalib, Silverline Research brings together a long-standing interest in optical sensing, neurostimulation and human performance.
MyndClear grows from that work: connecting physiological measurement with guidance people can use in everyday life. The founder’s research journey spans Australia, University College London and EuroMov in Montpellier.
Doctoral research at Edith Cowan University into fNIRS and neuromuscular electrical stimulation.
Research at UCL deepened the connection between optical measurements, metabolism and vascular responses.
Work at EuroMov brought together fNIRS, electrical stimulation and auditory synchronisation.
Hardware and software integration evolved into MyndClear’s approach to responsive physiological guidance.
